(NEWSER) – After weeks of counseling, Bowe Bergdahl is set to return to active duty—and he could do so as soon as today, Defense Department officials said last night, per theNew York Times and CNN. He'll live in barracks at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, where his therapy occurred. Two soldiers will work to help Bergdahl reacquaint himself with military life after his time as a Taliban prisoner. Also on Bergdahl's schedule is a meeting with Maj. Gen. Kenneth Dahl, who's looking into his 2009 disappearance in Afghanistan, the Times notes.
