Cassadee Pope's Red Carpet Look Has A Bold Meaning

Cassadee Pope looked stunning on the red carpet of Sunday night's 53rd Annual ACM Awards, but behind the beautiful look was something much deeper.

Life for Cassadee has changed a lot over the past the year. She ended a long term relationship, left her record label, and changed management companies. Any one of those things will shake up a artist's career, but when you change all three, it's a new beginning. Cassadee told us, the changes have helped strengthen and shape who she is.

Making sure she has positive people around, is something that's very important to her, "I feel like when you surround yourself with people that are positive and want what’s best for you and they love you, then good things just kind of happen to you."

When it comes to her look for the ACM Awards, Cassadee intentionally wore a suit. She revealed why in a recent tweet, "Just had this insanely validating thought. I am MY OWN boss. I’ve never felt more in control of my career and my life as I do right now. Guess that explains why I wanted to suit up this year. Cheers to taking risks and trusting yourself."

She said she's never felt more in control of her career, and one of the decisions she recently made was to independently release new music. She's gave us the first taste of what she's been working on with her new single, "Take You Home."

This time around with the new music and this process it feels really freeing. I just feel like I’m in the best place I’ve ever been in my life personally, and mentally I just feel good, I feel the most like myself. I feel like that’s the biggest difference in my past projects and this one.

Cassadee has the support of, and supports the other females in the Nashville music community. Many of them have been seen on social media having girls nights, and encouraging each other. She told us how important she feels that is right now.

"I think the women in music in general are understanding more now than ever, that we need to stand together, and we need to support each other. There’s this camaraderie that happens when we’re together in a room, and we’re talking about the things that make us happy and make us sad. It makes us feel like we’re all in this together. We all have very different experiences, but we share certain things in common that let us know ok we’re not alone, we can lean on each other. The thing I’ve learned over the past year, friends want you to lean on them. Don’t ever feel like you’re inconveniencing them, friends actually want to feel like you need them."

We can't to see what 2018 has in store for Cassadee.
