Megan Moroney is slated to stop in dozens of destinations on her headlining “Am I Okay? Tour” in 2025, the powerhouse singer-songwriter announced on Tuesday morning (September 10).
Moroney will kick off her run of shows in March in Montreal, Québec, Canada, with stops in New York, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, D.C., and other destinations before wrapping up in early august with back-to-back nights in Boston, Massachusetts. Moroney said as she announced her headlining tour on Monday that she’ll “play some of my bucket list venues & it’s going to be a very ✨blue✨ very magical year on the road. i’m already counting down the days until i get to see your faces & all of your ‘homemade tshirts & homemade signs’ :,) i know i’ve said it a lot but thank you for making all of my dreams come true - just over the mooooooon that i get to do this 🥹🫶🏼🚀👑👙🎣,” she wrote in her caption on Instagram. The announcement arrives shortly after Moroney wrapped up her performances on Kenny Chesney's headlining tour and kicked off her own international tour dates.
Moroney, 26, released her sophomore album, Am I Okay?, in July. The record’s 14 tracks range from vulnerable, emotional ballads to empowering anthems that are fit for packed concert crowds. Moroney is a writer on each of the tracks on the Kristian Bush-produced album, which includes the title track, “No Called ID,” “Man on the Moon,” “Indifferent” and other highlights. The album is Moroney’s highly-anticipated follow-up to her debut album, Lucky, which arrived last year with “I’m Not Pretty,” “Lucky,” “Tennessee Orange,” and more.
“During a crazy touring schedule, on 14 different occasions, I sat down and impulsively wrote exactly how I was feeling, whether it was right or wrong,” Moroney, who recently teased unreleased music, previously stated in a handwritten note she shared on Instagram. “If Am I Okay? feels more honest and vulnerable than anything I’ve released, it’s because you guys have made me feel comfortable enough to do that. ...By the time you get to the end of the album, a valid question would be ‘omg…is she okay?’ And I just want y’all to know that with you by my side, I’ll always be just fine.
“Going into making this record, I was getting a lot of outside opinions on what my second album should be,” the CMA-nominated artist continued in a statement of Am I Okay? “After a while I realized I just needed to stay true to how I started writing songs when I was 19, and then focus on making music that sonically supports the stories I’m telling. I did my best to block out all that outside noise, and just lead with honesty the whole way through.”
