Megan Moroney unveiled a surprise as she marks the end of an era.
The reigning Country Music Association New Artist of the Year will release a live album from her “Am I Okay? Tour” on Thursday (October 9). Moroney said she’s “decided the only way I can possibly come to terms with this chapter ending is knowing that we’ll have the entire show to listen back to whenever we want… and we get to relive these memories forever.”
Moroney’s Am I Okay? album arrived last summer, followed by its deluxe edition, featuring the title track, “No Called ID,” “Man on the Moon,” “28th of June,” “Indifferent,” and more. The Georgia-born country star’s highly-anticipated sophomore record followed her powerful debut project, Lucky, from the previous year. Moroney said her “Am I Okay? Tour” is “permanently burned into my brain,” and thanked her band, crew and “all my emo cowgirls/cowboys” with three final shows in the headlining run.
Moroney’s Am I Okay? Tour Live Album also arrives as her loyal emo cowgirl/cowboy fanbase awaits updates on her next chapter. Moroney has teased her next studio record with “6 Months Later,” a fiery, post-breakup revenge anthem that made its debut over the summer and quickly became a crowd favorite. The single appears on the setlist photographed in Moroney’s live album announcement on Instagram, along with staples from her first two studio records. See her announcement here:
