It’s never lost on Kameron Marlowe how people connect with his music.

The North Carolina-born artist, 28, said it’s an example of “how cool music can be,” when audiences sing every word back to him when he takes the stage. Marlowe has connected with crowds at iconic venues and events across the U.S. throughout his career, including the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee; Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado; and Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California.

Marlowe said in a recent conversation with iHeartCountry that his dedication to songwriting strengthened around the time he appeared on the 15th season of The Voice in 2018. He said at that point, “songwriting really kind of started connecting for me… And I was like, ‘I’ve got to come to Nashville, and I’ve got to start writing songs. I’ve got to find any way into the music industry that I can.’ So that’s what I did. I went to Nashville and started hacking away at it, and trying to write as many songs as I could with anybody that would let me.”

One of the first songs Marlowe ever wrote was “Giving You Up,” his debut single that released in 2019. He said with a laugh that some of his other earliest songs he’s written “probably should never be heard or seen again.” Still, he’s captivated crowds with his music over the years. Most recently, Marlowe released “Let The Lonely,” a single he wrote with Austin Goodloe and Joybeth Taylor. Before that, he dropped summer-worthy anthem “Seventeen,” a nostalgic song with a nod to Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen is credited as a writer on that single, along with Marlowe, Goodloe, Taylor and Tucker Beathard. Marlowe said much of his songwriting inspiration lately has transcended genre boundaries and spanned decades.

“It’s such a blast to play live, and the crowd is starting to light up for the song, so I’m very excited about that,” Marlowe told iHeartCountry of “Seventeen.” “I’m really stoked that people are liking it.”

Marlowe is part of the star-studded lineup at Stagecoach Festival 2026. Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson and Post Malone will headline the annual event, taking place from April 24 through April 26 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The festival will also include performances by Bailey Zimmerman, The Red Clay Strays, Riley Green, Journey, Brooks & Dunn, Hootie & the Blowfish, Ella Langley, Nate Smith, Chase Rice, Wynonna Judd, Little Big Town, Jake Worthington, Marcus King Band, Josh Ross, Gavin Adcock, Teddy Swims, Warren Zeiders, Chase Matthew, Redferrin, Tyler Braden, Third Eye Blind, Wyatt Flores, Brett Young, Max McNown, Hudson Westbrook, Ryan Hurd, Eli Young Band and more. Marlowe said it’s “one of the coolest festivals I’ve ever played,” noting the energy and the chance to connect with existing fans and new ones in the same show. “I’m very excited to be back.

“We got new songs this time and we got a completely different show than the last time we played, so I’m really excited to show it off this year,” he said. “Our energy is hopefully gonna be top notch. We’re gonna try and make sure that everyone is having a great time with us out there, so I’m very excited for the crowd to see this new show.

“It’s been so wild to just be on this journey and be able to do what I love to do every day,” he said. “I never take it for granted. It’s such a blessing that I get to do this.”
