Bank Suing Customer After ATM Gave Out $100s Instead Of $5s

A local Wichita, Kansas woman is being sued by Central National Bank after it says she made more than 50 withdrawals last month from an ATM. The catch? The ATM was spitting out $100 bills in place of $5s.

The bank is now seeking return of $11,607.36 plus interest from Christina Ochoa after a lawsuit was filed in January. The bank is making the assumption that Ochoa realized the ATM wasn't working like it was supposed to and instead of notifying management or authorities, calculated subsequent withdrawals to get more money.

Ochoa received over $11K instead of what she should have gotten at $1,485.
