So coming up on August 1st, I’ll turn another year older. And to be honest, I’m getting well beyond the point of wanting gifts (unless it’s a new truck 😂).
All kidding aside, Facebook does a wonderful thing these days that allows users to setup a fundraiser and I’ve set one up for my birthday benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
Pictured below is my grandma, Erma Blevins. Words can’t tell you how much this woman meant to me growing up. Behind her is my mother and aunts who constantly care for her. These people are why I'm choosing to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association.
My grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia some years ago and being no current cure, she’s slowly worsened. While the medicine has done a fantastic job keeping her alive, she still hasn’t recognized me for several years.
