Tattoo artist AT THE Wedding Reception? Good idea or Bad?

A bride to be asked for opinions on The Wedding WIre about having a tattoo artist set up at her upcoming reception. After tattooing the Bride and Groom with 'wedding ring' tattoos, this bride was thinking of having the artist offer interested guests the opportunity to also get a small tattoo to remember the couple's big day. The response to the bride to be was far from positive.

"Sarah ·said I would think that was odd. I’ve got tattoos, and so do most of my friends, but we’re all very particular about who does our tattoos. I would never sit down at a wedding, especially with a stranger, and let them tattoo me. I also think you need to think about logistics. Even the smallest tattoos can take 20-30 minutes so if you have a 4 hour reception that’s maybe 8-10 people who can get something.

Brittney  said Something else to consider is that tattoos should be done in a clean and hygienic space, not just anywhere. I would be hesitant to get a tattoo from a stranger at a wedding.

What's your liability for this? Have you researched if you can be sued if someone gets an infection and has high medical bills?

Honestly, I'd skip doing this. I wouldn't want any guests who are drinking to impetuously get a tattoo at my wedding" from https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/tattoo-vendor/ab1e822152736721.html

What do you think? You can tell me below. MJ
